“Rivera’s play is angry, fearsome, fantastic, and poetically frenzied, without surrendering either its sanity or its mordant sense of humor... It’s a cry from the poet’s heart.”—The Village Voice
In the Obie-award-winning MARISOL, a band of guerrilla angels has begun a war in the heavens that is bringing Armageddon to earth. It is an apocalyptic urban fantasy where coffee is extinct, rainwater burns your skin, the moon has disappeared, and people are tortured for late credit card payments. Marisol Perez is on the hero's journey that will connect Heaven and Earth, spirituality and survival, the fantastic and mundane, in a powerful tale of hope, compassion and self-empowerment.
Directed by Vali Forrister
MARISOL stars Jessika Malone, Misty Lewis, Cynthia Tucker, Fiona Soul and Seamus Frawley.
