Using our successful “First Time Stories” format, we invite participants to focus on an experience you’ve had for the first time since March 3. Nashville’s been through a lot in the last month.
This 5-session Zoom workshop will include verbal and written exercises shared in a group format. The class culminates with a final online performance as part of our Virtual First Time Stories series.
What you get:
- a 5 session Zoom workshop in a small group format
- at least 1 polished 5-minute story
- a final performance as part of our Virtual First Time Stories series
Meisner Technique 101
4 group sessions (75 min each)
Mondays, April 20-May 11
Have you wondered what the Meisner Technique is all about? Who is Sanford Meisner anyway? Why do folks call the Technique a philosophy for living disguised as an acting technique?
In this 4-session Zoom class, you will get an overview of the technique, its history and the foundational exercises that made it famous. While many of the exercises require face-to-face interaction, this course will prepare you to enter a Meisner Technique course with a strong footing in the principles of the method.
What you get:
- a 4 session Zoom workshop in a small group format
- overview of the Meisner Technique with instruction in the foundational exercises
- practical tools for staying in the moment and quieting the chatter in your mind
- $25 voucher for Meisner in-person class in the future

Our first Meisner class begins by teaching you basic concepts and encouraging your instinct and our sixth is for advanced students, with an emphasis on individual performance and longer scenes.
By the end of this class, students should feel confident enough to book an on-camera acting job and begin working on-set like an experienced pro. Join us and find your on-camera potential!
The Suzuki method of acting, developed by Tadashi Suzuki, is a physical approach to acting. The Suzuki Method works to build actors’ awareness of their body, especially their center.
