Richard is the Senior Designer for Ardee Design Group, LLC, and has worked on various theatre, film, television, and dance productions in the U.S. and Japan. He is grateful to have been a part of the Actors Bridge Ensemble team for over 15 years, and has designed for many productions including “Hearts like Fists”, “eurydice”, “Fairytale Lives of Russian Girls”, “The Arabian Nights”, “Outside Paradise”, “Marisol”, “The Warrior”, “Atlanta”, “The Piper”, and “American Duet” to name a few.
While his background is in theatrical production, he also specializes in traditional and modern dance, and has designed for organizations as the Belmont Department of Theatre and Dance, Davidson Academy Dance Partners, Dance Theatre of Tennessee, and The Nashville Ballet. His credits also include music/dance productions in Las Vegas including “Pin Up”, “BITE”, and “All In”.
Outside of the Entertainment world, Richard designs museums, facilities, Worship Facilities, and production studios for projects such as the CNN Washington Bureau, HGTV, Jewelry TV, East TN Historical Society, Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Stratosphere Hotel, Bethany Retreat, and Plaza Mariachi.
Richard teaches lighting design for the TN. Governor’s School for the Arts, has earned his Lighting Certification from the NCQLP, and is formerly President of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America – Middle Tennessee Section.
